"Phenomenal Science Instruction"
The 2018 Annual UtSTA conference is a wonderful opportunity for professional development, lesson plan ideas, networking, and inspiration, and so much more. Lunch is included and participants can USBE or re-licensure points.
Our keynote speaker is Philip Bell from the University of Washington. Bell pursues a cognitive and cultural program of research across diverse environments focused on how people learn. Bell was a member of the Board on Science Education with the National Academy of Sciences and served on the committee of the NRC Framework for K-12 Science Education that was used to develop our state standards. In addition to the keynote, there will be 12 different themed strands throughout the day and 5 different breakout session for each to help you with your teaching curriculum with ideas, demos, lessons, etc.
We hope you can join us for a great day that will help you and your students better appreciate science and science education.
Remember, after the conference from 6:00 pm - 8:30pm at the Provo Marriott Conference Center is the UtSTA Awards Banquet. Come join us as for a delicious meal as hear the work from inspiring educators from around the state. Tickets are only $20/person and non-USTA member guests are welcome.
